dinosaur egg ice play

We are Paleontologists

Ice Eggs Excavation !!  To make them we put dinosaur toys inside balloons and added water, tied them and put them in the freezer overnight.  Our students enjoyed being a Paleontologist, using
the many different tools needed to excavate the grounds where fossils are found.  We placed
different tools like a plastic knife, a straw, a magnifying glass and a Popsicle stick.  Oh and we
can not forget the most important tool of all safety glasses.  We did not have glasses for all
so we used different glasses of all kinds, these pictures are priceless!!
As you can see they were  so excited and they worked very hard to get at the dinosaurs inside.

Paleontologists hard at work at the sensory table.  Cloud dough, eggs,
dinosaurs, sticks, brushes and magnifying glasses.

Assimasaurus the dinosaur

Pete the Paleontologist; the students had to draw the different tools around him
that he would use at an excavation site.  They came up with many tools like
brushes, a camera, books, a note pad and pencil and a shovel.
