We tallied how many apples our friends liked and students were interested in creating their own Tally marks.

Today we put out some puzzles to see if they could solve 

them.  This was an activity where they could challenge their brains as well as 

visual recognition of shapes and patterns in the puzzle.

We must roll the dice and count the dots to find find out what number we have to cover up.  

Estimation

How many rocket candies are in our jar?  

In math we are talking about estimation, an educated (good) guess.  This is to see if the children can understand if 10 candies are in one jar then there are more or less in the other jar by looking at it.  Using estimates from 1-30.
