Today your child is bringing a book home. It is for them to keep at home.
They do not need to bring it back to school. The book was donated to our
students from the LINKS to Literacy organization.
When we arrived to the library you could see and hear the excitement on
their face and in their voices. They were so happy to pick out a book to
keep. Some of our students kept asking "we get to keep the book? We
don't have to bring it back to school?" As we came back into the room
some students asked if they could read their books so we all sat as a class
and took a few minutes to enjoy our books. The discussion that went on
between the children were very enjoyable to hear.
While Talal was reading his book he got very excited to find some
sight words,( look, at, is.) Each time he found a new word he came
to shows us,
