Mrs. Elder came back to our school to help us with some ideas for outdoor learning. She brought along with her many things from nature. We became squirrels hiding our nuts, then as squirrels do they go find them. Some of our squirrels forgot where they hid their nuts ohh no!! Mrs. Elder said that's ok because some squirrels forget where they hide them or other squirrels steal them!
We also made nurture sundaes, they were able to take a cup and add to it anything from nature like; grass, leaves, small sticks and/or rocks.
Lastly our children were given a nature bag and they had to guess what was inside with just feeling them. There was a total of six bags, boy did we have fun! Thanks Mrs. Elder for a great first part of our day.
