We are learning in math how to make estimates. Estimates are just a good guess!!
Here students tried to estimate how many plastic red hearts they can hold in their hand, then they came up took some hearts to find the actual number of hearts they could hold.
Monty had an estimate of 11 hearts he could hold in his hand. He could actually hold only 7.
He said his estimate was too high.
