Sensory table

Shredding paper to make snow for our sensory table.  We put
winter animals in the sensory table and I asked the students how
can we make snow?  Ilee came up with the idea to cut up paper.
Mrs. Osborne said she has a machine that would cut up paper and
she would bring it in.  So here we are learning how to put the white
paper in the machine and let go as soon as the machine grabbed the
paper.  The children thought this was fantastic and wanted to continue
even when all the paper was gone.  I think we could have shredded paper
for the entire school if I let them!!

We learned to wait our turn...

We learned to be the foreman and show the next person who
came along what was the right procedure.

We learned how some small machines worked.  Sorry I did not
take a picture of the top of the machine, with all the little teeth.

Wow!!  Look at all the paper. Oh there is the paper teeth

Dumping our "snow" in the sensory table.  Time to investigate

What fun (boy did we make a mess!)
