Graphing

Graphing

After our math lesson today called " people graphs" our children where very excited to do their own graphing.  They began by doing a graph like " do you ride a bus to school or not?" yes or no.

Talal asking his friend Preet " do you ride on the bus or don't you
 ride on the bus?"

Bilal asked Mrs. Osborne "Do you wear a sweater to school"
I said no as I leave on at school in case I get cold.

Warrick asked Mrs. Osborne about his people graph " Do you have
a backpack at home?" Mrs. Osborne said "no my backpack is at
school" and he thought was very funny for a teacher to
   have a backpack

"Do you ride the bus or not?"Mrs. Osborne asked Fatima for
her people graph and I said no as I drives a car to school.

Preet's people graph was " do you go home on the bus" Preet was
very excited to ask his friends who rode the bus home and who
   did not.

Remal wanted to know "do you have a pet or no?" Remal was
just getting started when I captured this picture of her smiling
    eager to begin.

Here is Remal after she was in full swing of her investigation
into her people graph about "Do you have a pet or not?"

Monty wanted to know "do you ride a car or do you walk"

Talal came to the table with his friends and they all were looking
at their graphs and Talal said "Look how much people are winning "
as Talal looks at his results and points to his friends people graphs.
At this moment they begin to laugh and Mrs. Osborne said to the
boys are you talking about the the amount of people who said "yes"
to your question?  Bilal said yes.

Anabiya made a people graph asking "Do you ride
                                  the bus? yes or no?

Talal asked "Do you ride the bus? Yes or No?,
he said "the x is for no and the check mark is for yes"

Warrick conducted his people graph and found that most of
                         the students have a backpack.
